BMW „Concept Roadster“ – BMW Roadster Revolution

The BMW Concept Roadster is charactarised by the modern interpretation of classic values. Its powerful 2-cylinder boxer engine generates 125 hp from 1,770 cc while also being the overall Design’s visual center. The roadster’s overall appearance is rather skeletal and rough in contrast to the plush Alcantara-wrapped seat. “The compact proportions with low front and high rear form a wedge-shaped silhouette around it which accelerates the bike even when stationary.” Besides its self-supporting rear structure, which is fashioned from a single piece, there are further parts (i.e. the lateral air intakes and valve covers) of milled aluminium that adorn this concept bike. Visible milling marks give the bike an almost industrial look. Even though the Concept Roadster can’t be expected to hit the streets anytime soon, it provides a glimpse into the future of BMW’s bike designs.
