First Look: The 2015 Porsche Cayenne
Porsche updates the successful Cayenne series with an innovative plug-in hybrid edition.
Until today Porsche has sold more than 300,000 vehicles of its current generation. The upcoming update will be available in autumn and aims to keep the BMW X5, the Mercedes ML and the Range Rover Sport behind. Visually, the model differs only slightly from its predecessor but technically convinces with extensive renovations. The Cayenne S is no longer powered by an eight cylinder engine but will be accelerated by an improved 3.6-liter V6 engine with 420hp. The Cayenne S Hybrid with its 333 hp is replaced by a plug-in hybrid version as already set in at the Panamera S Hybrid and the 918 Spyder. The new Porsche will be available as a Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne S and Cayenne Diesel model.
Prices in Europe will start at €66,260 for the Diesel and top out at €128,378, before optional extras, for the Turbo.
