The “Blue Mamba” with 650PS x VW Kharmann-Ghia by Deanz Rodz
US car tuner Deanz Rodz likes challenges. His goal: To transform an iconic 1967 VW Kharmann-Ghia into a powerful sports car.
Therefore the classic Volkswagen has been transformed extensively. Due to its silhouette and the predominantly female buyers the Ghia was also called “Housewife’s Porsche”. Deanz’s Ghia goes by the name “Blue Mamba” and could bring an image change with the power of 650 hp.
The renewed model is based on the chassis of a VW Kharmann Ghia Type 14 from 1967. However, not much is left of it. The blue color makes the sports car an eyecatcher. Under the hood, the “Blue Mamba” hides powerful racing technology. The VW coupe is powered by a modified 8.4-liter V10 with 650 hp – originally the engine of the American sports car icon Dodge Viper. This lets the VW reach a speed of up to 325 km/h.
The “Blue Mamba” can be seen at the upcoming Motor Show in Essen, Germany.
