The New Audi R8 Spyder Goes Topless in New York

Cabrio experience with 540 hp: The new R8 Spyder V10 will celebrate its debut at the New York Auto Show.

Anyone who is willing to spend just under 200,000€ for a new sports car, wants to be seen. Driving the new R8 Spyder will make that happen without a doubt. From a technical standpoint the R8 Spyder is related to Lamborghini and will attract everyone’s attention.

As its predecessor, the Audi R8 Spyder V10 features an electric soft top, which can be open and closed in just 20 seconds and at a speed of up to 50 km/h.

The powerful mid-engine with dual injection provides the right sound. Just like the coupe, which was introduced last Fall, the new model is powered by a 5.2-liter aspirated V10 engine with 397 kW/540 hp and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds.

The R8 Spyder will be available in Germany from the second half of the year. Prices for the Spyder haven’t been announced by Audi yet.
