John Galliano’s Comeback as Creative Director at Maison Martin Margiela
Anti-Semitic statements by John Galliano were the reason for his dismissal at Dior in 2011. Now the 53-year-old Briton returns to the fashion world as creative director at Maison Martin Margiela.
Maison Martin Margiela’s parent company OTB confirmed that Galliano would be taking over creative direction of the French fashion house. Galliano is considered as a dazzling personality among fashion designers and is undisputedly one of the greatest talents of his time. Tthroughout his career he worked as chief designer of his own fashion brand and at the parisian established companies Givenchy and Dior.
Margiela’s fashion line has been designed by an anonymous team of designers since its founder left in 2009. The first results of his work will be presented in January during the couture fashion week in paris.
PS.: He regrets his previous statements and explained them with the consumption of too much
