Apple Officially Unveils the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Finally! Today Apple CEO Tim Cook unveiled two new iPhone models – the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. With 4.7 and 5.5 inch screens both models are significantly larger than the previous Apple smartphones. Cook also presented Apple’s first Smart Watch: The Apple Watch!
Both models have a seamless design in an anodized aluminum case and feature the new Retina HD display.
Here are the key features of the two models:
iPhone 6
– 4.7-inch display
– Display with over a million pixels
– A resolution of 1334 x 750
– 6.9mm thin
iPhone 6 Plus
– 5.5-inch display
– Display with over two million pixels
– A resolution of 1920 x 1080 Full HD
– 7.1mm thin
The new models have much more new features than just a larger display. Both are powered by Apple’s new A8 Chip. Its incredible power is mainly reflected in the performance of games and graphics. The processor is 50 times faster than the very first iPhone. The 8MP iSight camera experienced a significant improvement as well. The optical image stabilization enables great shots in low light or with trembling hands. In addition, the new iPhone 6 can take up to 10 photos per second.
Both, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus come with iOS 8 and are available from September 19 in selected countries.
