Wealthy adventurers beware: There’s a new and unique travel experience which wants to be added to your bucket list. The Conrad Rangali Island Hotel in the Maldives is getting a new suite. Situated five meters below the water surface, another unique hotel room is currently being worked on. In total $15 million dollars have been invested to create this one-of-a-kind experience. This underwater suite is the first of its kind. While other hotel already offer different accomodations midst the submarine world, most of them look at artificial aquariums.
Whereas this suite actually is located 5 meters below sea level. Conveniently sitting right atop the seabed. Surrounded by the Indian Ocean and its marine life.
The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island already boasts an impressive Underwater Restaurant, which, apparantly, isn’t as exclusive anymore. So the hotel operators came up with the idea of the underwater suite, surpassing theirselves and their underwater restaurant. By the end of 2018 the unique underwater suite will be completed.
Offering enough space for up to nine guests, the entire suite extends across two floors. One above and one below sea level. On the upper floor there are two bedrooms, two bathrooms, bathroom, gym, Butler area, private security rooms, living room, kitchen, bar and dining area. With the perfect guest experience in mind, the team behind the project created two decks, each to the western and eastern sides, so guests can experience the perfect sunset and sunrise. A spiral staircase leads to the lower floor. Here, guests will be able to enjoy the incredible 180 degree view of the Indian Ocean, as well as the comfortable bed.
Such an experience paired with this level of luxury sure comes at a price price. A night at this suite will cost about 40.000 euros.
